The Spot

A huge, cool, unique house built in the 70s. We’ve nicknamed it Bellbottom House. It’s a 7-bed, 4-bath place split into a 5-bedroom house downstairs and a 2-bedroom apartment upstairs, with its own entrance. There are 3 driveway parking spots (though 2 are occupied by EVs) and plenty of street parking.

There are 5 full bedrooms downstairs, which is where your room is. We’ve got two fridges in the large kitchen. Your bedroom and two others share a bathroom with a cool sunken shower.

The house is quite spacious, with plenty of common space, natural light, and a sun-soaked backyard with a pool & hot tub.

Speaking of connection, we have house brunch & meeting once every two weeks, on Sunday mornings — you’re always welcome to join.

The Room

The price includes utilities, as well as a house fund for basics (toilet paper, etc.) and to occasionally hire a house cleaner. We’re committed to keeping a clean, organized, and well-run house.

Your bedroom has a cool amber stained glass window. It shares a bathroom with 2 other housemates, one of whom is out of the house half the week for work. It’s spacious with two closets (we don’t know why it was designed that way!). The room is fully furnished and move-in ready. $650/week or $2,100/month — all utilities included.

The Peeps (and Pets)

The house is rad, but what’s REALLY cool is the awesome group of people & animals who make up the community (and excited to add a new member!).

We’re open-minded, committed to personal growth, passionate about things like democracy and human rights, LGBTQIA-friendly and dedicated to creating a safe and thriving community for all.

There are six of us total — a couple upstairs (plus a cat and a dog), and 4 downstairs, looking to add one more.

We love co-working, chatting & bonding in the evenings, discussing dating and relationships, somatic therapy, the latest slang that “all the kids are using,” repair conversations, or some combination thereof.

We’re 3 women and 3 men in our 30s and 40s. One of us has a professional-quality espresso machine, so get ready for fancy lattes. Another is a part time actor / part time nonprofit specialist working with touring musicians & festivals, and another is an improv teacher and men’s group coordinator who also loves puns. Another is a podcast host, another a nanny; another is a graphic designer and musician.

We all care for the doggo that lives primarily upstairs. She’s a big dog and she’s often downstairs, especially when the couple upstairs is traveling or out for the day. We love her and know you will, too! (The cat upstairs stays upstairs. One of us downstairs is allergic.)

We believe community is the centerpiece of a fulfilling life, and we’re looking for someone who enthusiastically agrees. This is more than a house; it’s a home.

The room is available now. Short stays of a few weeks or a few months are both welcome — the room is fully furnished so there’s nothing to set up.

While everyone has their own lives and schedules, we genuinely enjoy sharing meals, co-working, meaningful conversations, and the occasional backyard hang. Bonus if you like to rock out to classic 90s songs!
